some of u might be aware that im getting married this year end. date has been confirmed, the venue has been confirmed as well.
though im having quite a number of tables for the wedding dinner, but there's only 1-2 tables for our friends and colleagues, the rest are all my relatives (yes, u guys know how big my family tree is), and my father's friends.
well, since my dad is paying for the additional tables, i have no much say in who he wanna invite, right? so, my dad got 10 tables for his friends only, and he's not inviting his business associates ok! i duno where he can find 100 friends. hahahaha.
ok, back to the topic.
dear and i only got a couple of tables for our friends and colleagues, which my colleagues already occupy 2 tables, his colleagues 1 table, so we only left with 1-2 tables for our friends!
so, please dun feel hurt, or insulted, or annoyed that we did not invite u.. we would love to, but due to the limited tables we have for friends, we really only can invite our mutual friends who are very close to the both of us.
secondly, we have also confirmed our bridal studio.. coming may i will be choosing my wedding gowns, meaning, need to pay some $$$ liao.. :(
third, we just bought a flat, at the Simei DBSS. it will be ready in 2011-2012...
we queued for 21hours, without sleep.
we were starved, thirsty, tired, sweaty for 21 hours..
we started queuing on friday night, when we were supposed to go ktv-ing, but the crowd was unbelievable, so we cancelled the ktv and start queuing at 11+pm.
dear and me wait and wait and wait till saturday, at 7+pm, they asked us to go home first, and come back on sunday morning 730am, as their comp system shuts down at 10pm, and they only can serve up till queue number 250, while our number is 281. -.-
so we ll, reached home at about 8pm. first thing i do is go straight to the bathroom and start a cold bath. u cant believe how hot and stuffy the whole bloody place is.
after bathing, dinner, waited for my hair to be drier (still wet though), and i went to bed at 10pm.
got up at 630am again to queue. we are so tired, coz dear did not sleep for 2 days already, he was working mah..
it was damn messy and disorganised on saturday, coz its their first time for first-come-first-serve basis for their DBSS flats. no specific instructions, some staff told us to wait at this tent, some say wait at that tent. everyone say the different thing. zz
its more organised and clear on sunday, they started having notice boards and all to notify ppl where to wait, what to do, etc etc.
lucky us, we managed to get a 4room flat. the 4 room flats were selling like hotcakes, and we were so worried that we will not manage to get any, since we cant afford a 5 room.
the 4 room flats were left with 3rd and 4th storey (their flats start from 3rd, as their carpark is 1st and 2nd storey), only 1-2 units at the higher level.. our priority units have been taken up long ago, so we werent left with many choices.
in the end, we managed to get the last high floor unit, the highest level, 12.
that unit is a priority unit, meaning, these units will be reserved for applicants staying near parents, or have 3 children families. lucky us, not a lot of applicants are eligible for this. and so, we got it! YEAH!!!!!
so, after giving the 5% option fee, (dear's dad sponsored half), we are really broke.
and we havent even got our rings!
anyway, if you guys will be going to my wedding, and/or housewarming, please start saving up! we need $$$$$ and of coz, the needed furnitures such as sofa, tv, fridge, rice-cooker, microwave, cutleries etc etc, u know lah hor. :X
LOL!
oh 1 last thing.
please assist, do not spread (or whatever u call them), about my wedding news and all.. dun really like it when ppl come to me and say, i want to go to ur wedding! or, must invite me hor! blah blah..
coz it will get very embarassing when at the end of the day, u are not invited due to the reasons i mentioned above..
im sorry.. :(
