thumbs up for shinjuku. its a totally different jackie chan's movie.
no goofy smiles, no fantastic or extremely dangerous stunts and martial arts. just pure trust, innocence and honesty. quite a refreshing change, and its a good one.
as for fast and furious, well, there isnt as much of street racing compared to the previous installments. racing and chasing, yes. street racing, only 1?
of coz, all the cars are modified and all..
so if u are looking out for pretty cars, u might be a little disappointed. movie's still ok though.
dinner on thursday with my colleagues is fine. we went al dente at esplanade. pastas' great, portion is abit big though. managed to took the pics of the appetizers we ordered, after that, sorry, we were all too hungry. haha.
calamari.. not so bad, but a lot of flour
left is salad, the right one is some bread thingy..
then, we surprised joanne by celebrating her birthday as well! haha. the pics not with me, gotta to wait till i get into the office on monday.
after the cake, we went 7ate9, at esplanade too, for our drinks.
very tempted to order baileys, but the past experience of ordering baileys at other places is that its usually only 1/4 of the glass... din want to drink too much, and dunwan to go thirsty for the rest of the night, so i tried something else.
through colleague's recommendation, i tried this litchee mojito or something like that.
find it ok, but a little too minty for my taste..
stayed till 10+pm, then roger, zhenyi and dear came to fetch me to go club sabai sabai to meet up with kel, cake and lj. another round of drinking again..
was quite disappointed with sabai..
the mixer SUCKS. they used heaven & earth green tea, and, their coke dun taste like coke! it's like soda water! i cant even taste the sweetness of coke.
worse still, they ordered martell.. zz.
i took a long time to finish my 1 glass. ahahhaha. dun think i managed to finish at all.
their singers sucks, their dances are not choreographed and synchronised properly, their sound system sucks..
zhenyi and i were quite bored.. but as usual, we managed to entertain ourselves by laughing at other ppl's dances.
quite bad lah, but its really damn funny lor the way those ppl dance. hahaha.
dun intend to go back there again. give me club nana anytime. haha.
managed to take this pic last month.. the whole sky was orange, and it was beautiful. of coz, my hp camera is not doing any justice to the breathtaking scene..
